The Central Farm

by UNDONE

supported by

Michael Reilly Fascinating art-rock album that constantly delivers new sounds and surprises. The textural layering of instrumentation and atmospherics gives this release deeper intent, which strongly attracts my attention. Favorite track: Threshold.

jazzberto I reckon Undone are one of the most modern bands I have ever heard, Totally fresh feel about every Lp & just fantastic all round sound. No real easy comparison for me to any other bands but take a chance. Kind of has a weird off key sort of sound but the singer is very cool & works magically with the band. Favorite track: Hallmark Of Smoke.

The T runs small, so an M would be like an S. All Tz are black with print in either white or dawn

Hallmark Of Smoke A year later, here we are Pen to paper went estranged and far Everything still changes, so lay low at the farm It’s coming to the surface So you just use your charm Turmoil in the plantations Telling you remain aligned Hunger’s still spreading like virus Not quite the moment to cry Welcome the graceful suggestions From someone who has been around Hold on to what makes you feel safe now Clemency will overcome M e r c y
2.
Let’s Pretend That We Are Free I want to tell you, but I don’t want you hurt You can’t change the story by daubing the paint Plants in the wrong place are plants and they grow This overreacting is no good at all There’s one thing we can always do It’s simple as you know Let’s pretend that we are free I’ll be you and you’ll be me Let’s pretend that we are free I’ll be the sky and you’ll be trees
3.
Threshold 02:28
Threshold From here I see better All my actions gone A light and splendid matter All my troubles sold Sinking into sync with you Breeze of hidden treasures Brings us back to earth We can feel the pressure Of knowing too much too soon Sinking into sync with you
4.
Love Attack 03:50
Love Attack Everybody need someone And you’ve got everyone Why you feel so, how you feel so lonely I sit between the trees and flowers in the glassroom The sun is shining through directly to the heart There’s something in the air I’m feeling the connection Remembering the day I pressed the button Start Open to be gone, open all the way Open to be shown, open all the way And you can’t love everyone And I can’t care all the time But baby God knows Just how much I love you Everybody need someone And you’ve got everyone But I know how you, how you feel so lonely
5.
Reality Theories Your tears made the breakfast salty Your fear burnt the bread Abrupt interpretations Rhyming in your head Inner investigations, paranoia spreads I’m worried, I wanna help you But it doesn’t work like that People are lonely People get scared Drowning confusion Makes violent heads… Through the center of the nature Darkness kneading pain As it leavens to the navel, we hold our breath in vain People are lonely…
6.
Frenchi 02:54
Frenchi This was going to be A song about a problem But here it’s taking me Away To the other side Of the very problem But here it seems to be OK Wounds don’t seem to ache Pain is some kind of game I’m taken in between The seen and the unseen I must take with me Something to remember Where this song to be - was heard Where a melody Tries on words like dresses Keep my room In this hotel
7.
Expressions 03:44
Expressions Any star you see falling Is a riddle you may unfold Truth is that every secret Wants to be told Rolling into the silence You so wanted to hear The thrown pebble in the story Echoes back into time The waters saw in your eyes Reflection is as hard as Spirit gets You are playing in the other side It’s just another room in our universe In our universe Their cross is grand and sailing far Thanks to the highest sacrifice Deep in the seeds and vine The story will remain And so it goes on…
8.
Vibrations of Love Everybody say you should be careful Anything you say may hurt someone Very strange days we seem to encounter No one really knows what’s going on Who knows what’s right Who knows what’s fair Hey, what’s true? Vibrations of love…
9.
Rolling Back To You Sweet life flows in the rivers Always on the go Just like a tear to the big salty we flow The convoy is very long And the road turns a lot We’re moving and moving and wishing this will never stop… Rolling, we are rolling, rolling back to you Down in the river All you true believers
10.
Into the Asphalt a song for George Floyd Into the asphalt Your breath setting in Like a sun being raped by darkness’s knee Don’t even know If she’ll ever be back Feelings are sliding Flooding the streets Where they are easily manipulated Eyes shut in
11.
Make Each Other Happy Love Carefully frozen You A little bit broken And I Make each other happy, make each other smile While you can For a while

‘…Quietly and piously, reserved only for masterpieces that are revealed in retrospect, Ronit Bergman of Plastic Venus continues to release wonderful albums with her group Undone from Macedonia, which seems to be functioning in a vacuum of a provincial country, she is the one who brings its message to us. Trying to say, one can only imagine the extent of the media reverberation such an album would have aroused, had it been released on a highly reputed indie label rather than self-released in Macedonia.
But if this is the law - and the law as you know is hard - it seems that the experienced Bergman from the short glory days of Plastic Venus does not chase anything and hurries nowhere, but stops to make you shiver, while daydreaming, in a pensive environment of dreampop shoegaze and tender neo-psychedelia, the kind that becomes a classic from first hearing and as you might find on labels like Captured Tracks or 4AD, only without the hype. That is to say you must hear it if you like the following bands:
Lush, Beach House, Cocteau Twins, Galaxie 500, Cranes, Pale Saints, Slowdive, Wild Nothing, Broadcast, Melody's Echo Chamber, Blouse, DIIV, Swirlies, Asobi Seksu…’
~Rani Zager, Mother Juno
‘…A mother of mothers of the purest and most truthful indie, this is Ronit Bergman. For anyone interested in taking their first steps in the genre, it is recommended to start with Ronit. This album is a symbol for a non-compromising originality and quality of this artist. Ronit Bergman is so special, a secret awaiting to be revealed. This album by Undone, uncovers a musician-artist of higher levels. Music for daydreamers, a thrilling and touching creation. Ronit Bergman at her best, and this musical beauty has no end
